We’re back from another productive week in New York exhibiting at ISC East. The busy show once again highlighted the increased focus on security in both the home and business environment. From fire alarms over IP to video surveillance over IP, the hot topics were once again IP and intelligent digital surveillance solutions.

Highlighting these technologies were two inaugural displays at ISC East - SmartHome@ISC and The Security Operation Center (SOC). From the ISC East website, the SOC is….

“…a first-of-its-kind, real world solution, dedicated to demonstrating a live, best-of-breed, multi-vendor-converged Security Operations Center, that integrates physical security and enterprise IT products. With over 6,000 sq. ft. of show floor space, the Security Operations Center is the largest ever public demonstration of physical security and enterprise IT security convergence.”

Produced by IPVS Magazine, the 6,000 sq. ft. display was an impressive showcase of the power of IP video security. Along with our own booth, we exhibited in the SOC alongside such companies as Axis Communications, exacq Technologies, and Milestone Systems. IPVS did a great job of integrating the technologies of 20 vendors into one IP video network!

We’re proud to say our 24-port Power-over-Ethernet MILAN switches ran the network and powered the IP video cameras in use.
